Three Secret Lancaster County Country Roads
1. Reidenbach Road –
Not too far just behind The Harvest Moon Bed & Breakfast is what people come here to see but rarely find. Reidenback Road is truly an immersion into Lancaster County. You won't find much back there, just a few Amish or Mennonite Locals selling only the best of goods. You'll discover this road down by Nolts Pond not far towards the rear of our house. With Hoovers Farm, a green house and farm wood furniture for sale, how could you go wrong? Oh don't forget the butcher. The road meanders around and ends at RT 322. You'll enjoy this one.
2. RT 23 Beyond Shady Maple –
One of the only scenic by-passes in Lancaster County, This road from Goodville to Morgantown has all kinds of great finds. Historic Poole Forge, with it's covered bridge, furniture makers, country farm stands, second hand shops historic Churchtown, Antique shops and the view of the surrounding country side is simply beautiful. You'll love this trip. Don't be afraid to go off onto the side roads; a true immersion.
3. Farmersville Road –
Not far from the Harvest Moon is Farmersville Road. This road (east and west) meets up in "downtown" Farmersville at the cross road of Farmersville Road (north and south). Not much here except a couple of local businesses, an antique shop specializing in outdoor garden stuff, and turkey farm and the Farmersville Auction. At one point on the road you can see for miles and the street signs are written in Pennsylvania Dutch.
