I recently had a few guests here that were interested in a vegan breakfast. They said if it were vegetarian it would be fine, but I needed to go the extra mile and come up with a few treats for them during their stay. My thought with vegan food, don't try to find the infamous "TOFURKEY" or other things that try to resemble something in the non-vegan world. I find that I am never satisfied and it always fails for me. I've been a chef for quite a few years and I thought I would post a list of some things that I have made here.

It's Christmas Time! And Lancaster County is ready to celebrate. Enjoy great events like shows, shopping and small town events. Christmas along with winter is truly a wonderful time of year to visit Lancaster County; did somebody say Christmas Cookies? This list below is just a sampling of the many things that will keep your Chirstmas Cookie Give-a-way a special twist. Our area truly is a slice of Americana and Lancaster County is a great way to celebrate the Holidays.   

Summertime is here! And Lancaster County knows how to stay cool during this awesome time of year. Enjoy great events, hiking, tours, farm stands and more. The summer is just not complete without a visit to one of our many ice cream shops, wish homemade in mind! This list below is just a sampling of the many things that will keep you occupied here in Lancaster during the summer months. Lancaster truly is a slice of Americana and New Holland displays proudly all that an old fashioned summer truly is.  

The Lancaster County Country landscape is also populated with plenty of theatres. I was once told from guests that come a couple times a year from NYC that the shows are just as good and a little more economical than those of Broadway. Christmas is not the only time to enjoy a show in Lancaster though, be sure to check out all the shows that are avialable througout the year. You'll soon see that as a destination, Lancaster has plenty to do.  

So along with the Amish and all the Lancaster County Farmland and of course the horse and buggies, Lancaster County has so much more to offer. One of those things would just so happen to be many top quality museums. Below are listed some of my favorites. What's more? Most of these Lancaster County Museums are open on Sunday. So forget the adage that Lancaster has nothing to do on a Sunday... there is so much going on here any day of the week.
