An Epicurean Exploration into the Depths of Lancaster’s “Underbelly” of Great Cuisine
New Holland, PA Lancaster County: Call it what you will, but this is not your ho hum, lame dinner outing sitting around a table filled with chicken wings and onion blossoms, waiting for what will inevitably be an “awe inspiring” taste exploration of cheesy decadence; oh yeah, the unabashed sarcasm is intended!
This is all out passion; a certain fervor if you will, for one thing only, GREAT FOOD. The Harvest Moon Bed and Breakfast has decided to take our culinary demonstrations and tours to the next level.
Starting spring of 2015, we introduce “Moon Meals” to our guests. We will be inviting you out for a “secret” dinner, either hosted here at the Harvest Moon, or somewhere out on the town. The intention is to showcase our areas great chefs and to hear them shout out about a Foodies Revolution happening here in Lancaster County.
Key word is “secret”. We only give you a little information about the dinner; time, date, theme, spy gear to bring along and cost. We’ve done all the painstaking research, conversations with the chef, tastings of great Lancaster county products and endless hours, (too many to count) of fine dining. I know… the job is rough, but someone had to do it; you needed trust in us.
Once you book your Moon Meal, you will be mailed a confidential envelope not to be opened till the day before your arrival, (it will self destruct once opened). Inside you will be given more details as into where dinner will be, who your chef of the evening is and a description of what they are known for. We can’t tell you the menu yet, it just wouldn’t be safe!
Moon Meals are by invitation only though. Our guests, who have stayed with us in the past or have become a fan of our facebook page, will receive invitations to join us. Space is limited and each event is based on a first come first served basis.
The Harvest Moon will continue to host cooking demos, tours and lectures moving forward. Look for an awesome list for the 2015 season.
